We Support Young Lives

Sports are powerful. They teach kids sportsmanship, hard work and perseverance. Unfortunately, the average cost to play is out of reach for a lot of families. League fees, gear, and travel add up to a big price tag and keep a lot of kids on the sidelines.

To help get and keep kids in the game, we are excited to bring SOCCERSHIP to the world through a partnership with Seattle Youth Soccer Association, Pacific Northwest Soccer Club, Washington Rush Soccer Club, Snohomish United, Kitsap Alliance FC and Northshore Youth Soccer Association.

"I knew this partnership was a no brainer for us, from the moment I met Adam and heard the story behind the DP Open. This partnership will help us support the families in our association, build awareness for SCA and start more conversations with coaches and families on the importance of youth heart screenings and CPR training. Many of us have been touched by Daniel’s story and together, through his memory, we will save lives in our community."

David Griffiths, Executive Director - Seattle Youth Soccer Association

"The DP Open is especially important to me as I had the honor of coaching Daniel Phelps at the University of Washington his senior year. Daniel quickly won me over not only because of his outstanding play on the field at UW, but for the person he was. He was caring, compassionate, loved to have a good time and had a heart of gold. The DP Open is a perfect way to remember him, his passions in life and his overall love for soccer."

Ben Somoza, Executive Director - Washington Rush Soccer Club

"Safety of our players is of paramount importance to us at Northshore Youth Soccer Association. Education about the dangers of Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a requirement for all NYSA coaches. We believe that this training, as part of our annual risk management program, helps to keep our players safe. Adam and the DP Open team share our view that athletics are a powerful force for good in our communities. We're happy to work with DP Open to bring youth soccer to more players, and to do so with a raised awareness on player safety."

Bryan O'Donnell, President, Northshore Youth Soccer Association

"We are inspired by the incredible work the DP Open and Nick of Time Foundation are doing to raise awareness for SCA in the young. We appreciate their support for our families and are honored to amplify the important work they are doing!"

John Wilson, President - Pacific Northwest Soccer Club

"Partnering with the DP Foundation will have an incredible impact on our club. First, their Soccership program support will enable us to reach more of our community's youth at a time when depression and anxiety are so prevalent. Secondly, the DP Foundation’s AED program support ensures the physical well-being of our players, parents, referees, and the overall community who frequent our local soccer fields. The benefit is immeasurable. I can’t thank the DP Foundation enough!"

Shane Anderson, Director - Kitsap Alliance Football Club

"We had heard of the work the DP Open has been doing in the community and were excited when Adam reached out to us to partner with them. SCA is personal to us here at Snohomish United and we understand firsthand the importance of being aware and prepared. After almost losing one of our referees, we fundraised to purchase an AED device to have on hand here at Stocker Fields. With the DP Open’s ties to Snohomish, we are excited to involve our community with this event, raise awareness in our membership and carry on Daniel’s legacy."
